About our Research Project

The project “Paper Architecture and Sustainable Materials”, proposes to research a new concept in support of thought graphic, using an ancient technique, the Japanese Origami. The art of folding paper will be examined and tested as a tool for stimulating and recording the development of ideas in the process of developing architectural projects, urban planning, design and art.

The aim of this research is to reveal the potential of the art of folding paper as a tool for conceptualisation and explore the applicability of sustainable materials in the implementation of such projects in their aesthetic and functional dimensions. In this sense gathered a multi-disciplinary and, in particular in the fields of drawing, computing and materials.
